    About Me I am single and plan on keeping it that way for the forseeable future. The need to spend time and get to know myself is stronger than that to divert my attention and energies onto someone else. I love learning about ancient civilizations and cultures. Ancient and Prehistoric and and Medieval Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales are my faves. If someone would invent a time-machine, I'd be the first to buy one....or at least a holo-deck. Anyone out there working on that? I love to have intense and deep, philosophical, metaphysical, and spiritual converstaions; the things that make you realize the connection between all of us, now and through time. These things are made better of course, by a nice bottle of wine or two! I'm working on not letting my past poison my present. Letting go is my goal. It's never too late to change anything you're unhappy with and most of all, never ever ever just "settle". Safety isn't always the best path.

    Hobbies Renaissance Festivals!!!! Also languages. I am currently learning to speak Irish Gaelic, then Welsh, then Finnish....if reincarnation exists! I love to make clothes (mostly renaissance garb) and to write, both journal and poetry (sometimes I actually write some great stuff amongst the slop!). I am fascinated by history, mainly ancient Ireland and it's mythology, but all of the ancient "Celtic" world, and any other ancient culture out there. Given a book to read, I am happy anywhere I land. I never leave the house without a book. I'm also a DVD whore! I loooove movies and am a CSI addict. Also, I play several musical instruments: piano mostly, learning Irish fiddle and I've played some bass guitar. Also various percussion instruments like tamborine and I join in at the local drum circle with my ashiko. I've tried the zils but haven't fathomed how the heck to do them yet. If I could do what I most want in the world, I would be an archaeologist and spend my time digging up the bones of ancient castles and settlements and people until I finally keeled over in the mod and some future archaeologist would dig me up 1000 years from now.
